This project started started with a collaborative effort between the client and me to develop a compelling script tailored for the animation format. Since the video was designed to be presented by teachers as part of an introduction to the Creativity Programme, it needed to be longer than a typical social media video to accommodate the additional context and detail.

Once the script was finalised I started with the moodboard, gathering references to establish the visual direction and tone. From there, I moved on to storyboarding and styleframes, sketching out the sequence of events to plan the flow and transitions and choosing a few frames to lock the design style ensuring it was aligned with the client’s brand identity.

Next came the animatic, where I created a rough animation using the storyboard frames, timed to a guide voice-over, and included a few music track options. This step allowed for further refinement of the timings and gave the client a clear sense of the animation's overall pace and flow.

While creating the final animation, I used After Effects’ new 3D OBJ import feature to create dynamic 3D assets like a rotating pencil (created in Blender), adding depth and uniqueness to the project. Every detail was intentional, making sure the animation looked cohesive and professional.

After the animation was done I worked with a sound designer to add sound effects that elevated the final result. The sound design added richness and energy, tying everything together seamlessly.
